
In 2007, Dr. Shook completed his residency in Ortho¬paedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. During his residency he received several awards, including: Innovations in Orthopaedics Award, Certificate of Excellence in Research and the Charles M. Schwartz Traveling Fellow Award. He completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals in 2008.
Dr. Shook is a member the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Indiana Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Shook is currently head team physician for West¬field High School and a part of the medical team for the Indianapolis Indi¬ans and the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. He was the official orthopaedic consultant for the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Final Four Tournament. Dr. Shook has served as a team physician at the University of Chicago. He was also a member of the medical team involved in the treatment of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL.
Dr. Shook’s work has been published in multiple professional journals.
